The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between pedagogical accompaniment and teaching performance in the pre-professional practice of students of the X cycle of initial teacher training in a Public Pedagogical Institute of Metropolitan Lima. The study has a quantitative approach, correlational descriptive level, basic type and cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 137 students and the sample by 97 students, selected in a non-probabilistic and intentional way. Two Likert-type scale questionnaires were applied to students of the X cycle, one regarding the pedagogical support they receive in their pre-professional practices and the other about the teaching performance they have in their pre-professional practice centers. These instruments reached acceptable values of validity and reliability. The application of the instruments determined a moderate positive correlation when r=0.585 and p=0.000 were obtained; thus establishing a significant relationship between pedagogical accompaniment and teaching performance. On the other hand, the relationship is moderate and significant positive between pedagogical monitoring and teacher performance; pedagogical advice and teaching performance; in addition to evaluation of pre-professional practice and teaching performance.
