The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of psychomotor skills on pre-calculation skills in 5-year-old children of an initial educational institution in Villa Maria del Triunfo. The study is developed under the qualitative approach of a case study, at the descriptive level, which allows to know and describe the psychomotor activities performed by children, as well as the level of pre-calculation skills in which they are. In order to carry out this study, instruments have been designed to collect information according to the specific objectives set out, these are the observation guide, applied to participating children; and the semi-structured interview, intended for the tutor teacher and parents. Both instruments were applied taking into account the Informed Protocol process. Likewise, a triangulation matrix was structured for the analysis of the information obtained, which was based on the aforementioned instruments. The results of this study show that psychomotor skills influence the level of pre-calculation skills acquired by children, and also invite us to reflect on the importance of developing motor actions as an important learning channel for children, since there is little evidence of appreciation for the development of spaces.
