The objective of this research is to describe the level of knowledge of Special Education teachers about multisensory stimulation in students with disabilities in public educational institutions of Metropolitan Lima. This study presents the concept of multisensory stimulation, the description of the senses and sensory alterations; and also explains the strategies, activities, techniques, methods and benefits of multisensory stimulation. This research is of a quantitative approach, of a non-experimental-descriptive design, the sample includes 104 Special Education teachers. The results of the research show that more than half of the teachers of Basic Special Education of public institutions (CEBES), do know about multisensory stimulation and show a good level, therefore, this data is a positive factor and an advantage. for teaching students with disabilities. Likewise, the results are related to other investigations regarding the need for teachers to have training in multisensory stimulation to conduct the teaching-learning processes of children with disabilities. Finally, it is concluded that the knowledge of teachers about multisensory stimulation is decisive in the teaching-learning process of students with disabilities and multidisabilities.
