The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the dimensions of self-concept and test anxiety in 138 students, ranging from 12 to 14 years of age, and in the 1st and 2nd year of secondary education at an institution private educational institution in the Ica region, Peru. The study is of a non-experimental type and descriptive-correlational design. To measure the variables, two instruments were used: the Self-Concept Questionnaire form 5 (AF-5) by García and Musitu and the Inventory of Self-Assessment against Exams (IDASE) by Bauermeister and Spielberger. The results obtained showed a statistically significant relationship between each of the components of selfconcept and the general index of test anxiety. In turn, significant differences were found between men and women in the emotional, family and physical component of self-concept; however, no significant differences were found in relation to test anxiety, according to sex.
