The main objective of this research was to decide the relationship between lifestyle and academic performance in Gastronomy students of the INTECI Institute, Los Olivos Institute. The study was correlational level, quantitative approach and non-experimental cross-sectional design. The results demonstrate an inverse relationship between the variables investigated, that is, not necessarily having an adequate lifestyle guarantees that students demonstrate good academic performance. In the present study, it was observed that the highest score is given by those students with a regular lifestyle that amounts to 48.5% with a regular academic performance of 25.8% and a good one of 21.2% that is contrary to the hypothesis that was raised in this research. The p-value of 0.033 which according to the decision rule is less than 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected, which allows us to conclude that, if there is a relationship between the variables of the present study, however, it is necessary to highlight that the relationship found, according to the result of the Rho Spearman coefficient gave a negative result -0.263, an inversely proportional correlation result. An important fact to take into account was linked to the specific objectives, where no relationship was found between: eating habits, level physical activity and nutritional status against academic performance because the p-value was greater than 0.05“.
