The purpose of this research is to explain how scientific practices and educational neurotechnology promote the development of scientific argumentation based on Stephen Toulmin’s model in students of VII cycle of Regular Basic Education. Since the entire research process was based on the research teacher reflection, the study is considered under the socio-critical paradigm, qualitative approach, explanatory level, substantive type, and action-research design. In this sense, five instruments were designed and applied: a semi-structured interview and an argumentative text analysis guide were applied to twelve students and a teacher observation guide, a learning lesson analysis guide and the reflective diary that were applied to the research teacher. After two iterations and three triangulations of the information, it is concluded that there is an improvement in the writing of argumentative texts. However, it is necessary to apply new strategies for writing counterarguments and the use of modal qualifiers to improve the quality of students’ writings.
