Abstract: El Free Walking tour es una tendencia a nivel mundial que nació en Alemania en el 2003,
ahora se desarrolla en el Centro Histórico de Cusco, es un tour gratis en base a propinas. El
objetivo de la investigación es conocer la calidad de servicio del Free Walking tour en el
Centro Histórico de Cusco, a su vez su origen y como se está implementando en la ciudad
del Cusco.
En esta nueva modalidad de turismo en Cusco se están dando dificultades en la Calidad de
servicio, que afecta directamente al servicio y la percepción de los turistas.
La metodología aplicada en esta investigación científica es básica con alcance descriptivo,
de diseño no experimental y con enfoque cuantitativo, como muestra de estudio se tuvo a
125 turistas que hicieron uso del Free Walking tour, la técnica utilizada para esta
investigación fue la encuesta, los resultados se procesaron utilizando el software estadístico;
Statistical package for the social sciences y se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados: según la
escala de medición; la dimensión elementos tangibles calificó como malo con un promedio
de 27.2% según la escala de medición. La dimensión fiabilidad calificó como muy buena,
con un promedio del 52%, según la escala de medición. La dimensión capacidad de respuesta
calificó como muy bueno con un promedio de 55.2% según la escala de medición. La
dimensión seguridad calificó como muy buena con un promedio del 55.2% según la escala
de medición. La dimensión empatía calificó como muy buena, con un promedio de 51.2%
según la escala de medición.
La conclusión a la que se llegó es que la variable de calidad de servicio en el Free Walking
tour es muy buena, según la escala de interpretación obtuvo un promedio de 41.6%, el tour
cumple con los horarios programados, la información brindada por el guía es satisfactoria;
en base a los resultados poner más énfasis en equipos modernos y material de comunicación.
The Free Walking tour is worldwide trend that was born in Germany in 2003, now it takes place in Cusco, it is a free tour based on tips. The objective of the investigation is to know quality of service in the Free Walking tour in the historical center of Cusco at the same time its origin and how it is being implemented in the city of Cusco. The methodology applied in this scientific investigation is basic, with a descriptive scope, non-experimental design and with a quantitative approach, as a statistical study sample 125 tourists were taken, the technique used for this research was the survey, the results were processed using the statistical software Statistical package for the social sciences, obtaining the following results: Service quality variable qualified as a good, with an average of 37,6% according to the measurement scale; the tangible elements dimension qualified as a bad, with an average 27.2% according to the measurement scale. The reliability dimension qualified as a good, with an average of 52%, according to the measurement scale. The response capacity dimension qualified as a good, with an average 55.2% according to the measurement scale. The security dimension qualified as a good, with an average 55.2% according to the measurement scale. The empathy dimension qualified as a good, with an average 55.2% according to the measurement scale. The conclusion reached is that the quality of service in the Free Walking tour is very good, according to the interpretation scale, it obtained an average of 41.6%. On the basis of the results increase more emphasis, using modern equipment and communication material and necessary strengthens in empathy to provide warmth in Free Walking tour.
