In this research developed a technical analysis - comparative economical for a building of reinforced concrete five levels evaluating two different structural alternatives, a type I Dual system with a combined system of shear walls and flat slabs. The analysis was first to evaluate and compare the seismic behavior of the building modeled under both structural alternatives, for which the structural software was used: ETABS - 9.5.0. Subsequently the design of structural elements for each alternative was made and thus a comparative analysis based on the cost and time that would occur in the execution of each structural alternative was developed. Both evaluation criteria were used to verify whether the use of flat slabs and shear walls significantly influences the seismic performance, cost and time that entails the execution of a work with respect to the alternative type I Dual research was context Cusco.
