The present research thesis, framed in the branch of civil engineering and sanitation, is focused on the determination of the volume of Water not Invoiced or not accounted and the index that represents compared to the volume of production of drinking water for the Potable Water Supply System Kor-Kor, Zone I, Sub Zone I-I-C, area known as: “El Calvario“ and administered by the EPS. SEDACUSCO S.A. in the year 2015. The objective of the study is based on the accounting and estimation of percentages of losses of drinking water either by Operating losses of the company and Commercial losses to be experienced in the area, which represent a reduction to the continuity of service to the population of the sector, a decrease volume in relation to production and an economic loss activates that affects the company. The analysis is developed along the system of distribution of drinking water on the selected zone, studying the leaks exist in: Main networks, rush and connections and leaks in boxes of registration for the determination of Operational losses or Physical. As well as the diagnosis of losses by sub measurement in the micro measurement, Clandestine and theft for the determination of Commercial losses or Not Physical. In this way we proceeded to develop an inventory of losses that enables us to collect information about the testing predominant in the study, as are: Evidence of macro measurement and reading of production volume, sectoralization, leak testing, correlation of networks, examinations by acoustic geophones, flow measure, analysis of sub measurement in micro measurement and detection of irregular connections. Finally the methodology of the study will look at process a Water Balance that summarizes the losses existing and estimated the water not billed in the study area. For the study has managed to estimate a percentage of water not invoiced or not accounted the 35.70% that affects the volume that is lost in the distribution network before being fitted to the user and with economic difference for the company in that range. However this volume is within the percentage admitted by the regulator to various variables that differ in other areas, sectors of supply and even cities by the order economic partner with the that count.
