The present investigation entitled: “The tax debt due and the partial forgiveness of the property tax in the Provincial Municipality of Anta, period 2018“, aims to describe the situation of the tax debt due for the property property tax and the tax exemptions in the Provincial Municipality of Anta, 2018; The applied methodology corresponds to a basic type, quantitative approach, descriptive scope of non-experimental design; The population consisted of the documentation corresponding to the property tax folders of the taxpayers of the Provincial Municipality of Anta who availed themselves of the amnesties that were granted through municipal ordinances in the periods of March and October of the year 2018. Results that there is no adequate registration and control of the tax debt as enforceable, therefore, tax amnesties are granted on a regular basis annually, seeking that the taxpaying administrations voluntarily recognize the enforceable tax debt from the amnesty; Likewise, this benefit is considered by municipal officials as a timely and adequate management instrument, which generates an inadequate administration of the tax to the detriment of taxpayers who timely comply with their tax obligations. It is concluded that the municipal administration does not have correct and adequate information that allows establishing the tax debt due to taxpayers; Likewise, it is established that 91% of foster care is carried out through cash payment and 9% accepts the debt due for fractionation. On the other hand, it was determined that the amnesties have allowed a negligible percentage to collect tax debt as prescribed, which has not been the subject of filing by the administration of the corresponding opposition.
