Our research work called Agroforestry Systems and their effect on the recovery of degraded areas of farmers in the Miguel Grau community, Amazon River, Nauta, Loreto – 2023, aimed to determine the effect of agroforestry systems on the recovery of areas degraded conditions of farmers in the community of Miguel Grau, Amazon River, as well as the power to Identify that agroforestry systems improve soil quality and produce changes in the management of agricultural areas. The research methodology was explanatory, non-experimental, because it allowed us to answer what is the effect of the installation of agroforestry systems on the recovery of degraded areas. The sample was represented by 30 farmers with some criteria such as being between 35 and 50 years old; have 2 hectares of production on average and those who implemented agroforestry systems on their plots. As important results, it can be mentioned that the main problems were the low fertility of the soil (80%), followed by the little permanence in their plot, representing 20%. In reference to agroforestry systems, 93% of farmers incorporated timber, fruit and medicinal species into their plots; and only 7% of them incorporated timber and fruit species. And finally, 93% of farmers’ state that they obtain good yields from their crops; and only 7% of them consider that the returns are regular. That 93% of farmers’ state that agroforestry systems have been decisive for their permanence on their plots to date. Finally, the majority of farmers mention that the benefits of SAF are the diversity of their products, as they always have productive soils; and another important group mentions, in addition to what was mentioned, care for the environment.
