The objective of the research was to study and determine the historical behavior of private investments and oil exploitation and the investment prospects for the year 2022. The world energy consumption indicator increases annually on average by 1.37% by 2021; Asia Pacific has seen a notable increase in energy consumption, while other regions show more moderate changes. The variation in the relative share of each region highlights the changing dynamics of global energy demand. Oil consumption in Peru has experienced significant changes in recent years, showing a constant increase over the years, going from 0.42 Exajoules in 2011 to 0.52 Exajoules in 2021; Likewise in terms of barrels of oil, consumption increased from 75,880 thousand barrels in 2011 to 95,608 thousand barrels in 2021; whose period variation is 18.69% as of 2016, 6.16% as of 2021, average annual variation of 6.16% as of 2021. With respect to oil production in Loreto, it is determined that the annual production in Peru compared to the northern jungle in 2011 was 10,081.4 thousand barrels, this figure decreased significantly to 2,147.8 thousand barrels in 2016 and increased to 3,745.8 thousand barrels in 2021. It is determined that most of the production in Selva Norte comes from the Pluspetrol Norte 1-AB lot, with 6,440.4 thousand barrels; However, in 2016 and 2021, this production decreased to zero, possibly indicating a stoppage or closure of operations in that lot.
