The present study was carried out at the José Álvarez Alonso Biological Station of the Allpahuayo Mishana National Reserve km 26.7 of the Iquitos - Nauta highway in order to evaluate the diversity of ferns in three types of forests, within the framework of organized biological studies by the Peruvian Amazon Research Institute - IIAP through the Amazon Biodiversity Research Program (PIBA). The inventory was carried out in forest on white sand, forest on clay and forest on loamy soil in 10 transects of 5 x 50 m; Distributed with a separation of 20 meters, the sampling areas were randomly selected so that the analysis has a more realistic result, where it was evaluated, diversity, abundance, type of habit, and similarity between plots and forest type. Ferns of terrestrial habit were collected with leaves of more than 10 cm long, epiphytes and hemiepiphytes up to two meters high, located on both margins of the transect at a maximum distance of 2.5 m. As general results we can mention the total record 86 species of ferns and 3579 individuals among the three types of forests. Species records and associated ecological data show the importance of monitoring programs.
