The present thesis project, entitled “Shelter centre for women victims of violence, Iquitos 2021“, aims to develop an architectural proposal that provides comprehensive care and temporary shelter in order to protect women who have suffered from violence and who are in a situation of serious and/or vital risk. The research project is descriptive, which is reflected in the different bibliographies that have been analyzed, which explain the different methodologies implemented to address this social problem, helping victims in their physical, social and psychological well-being. The aim is also to enable female victims to become economically independent through training workshops within the reception centre and subsequently reintegrate into society. The main results obtained within the scope of the project work, is that violence against women is a criminal act, very harmful and a growing problem worldwide, with little or no interest from society, not being alien the situation in our city; concluding in the need for a space where an appropriate intervention is provided, of which the architectural proposal aims to strengthen their physical and emotional recovery, as well as safeguard them, preventing the death of the victims or their destruction on a personal level.
