Abstract: Objetivo: Establecer el índice de caries dental en gestantes atendidas en las Ipress I-3 CARDOZO y SANTA CLARA DE NANAY, en el año 2023. Metodología: el estudio fue de tipo cuantitativo; diseño no experimental, descriptivo comparativo, transversal, prospectivo analítico.se empleo una sola ficha de recolección de datos ficha de índice para CPO Población:279 muestra: 161 gestantes Resultados: los resultados muestran que la media de la edad fue 26,17 años, donde la edad mínima es 13 años y la edad máxima 43 años, El 43,8% estaba en el II trimestre de embarazo, el 34,5% en el I semestre y el 21,7% en el III trimestre, donde el 58.7% cuenta con secundaria completa con un CPO de 43.6% (muy alto), 26.0 % tiene primaria con un CPO de 57.7% (muy alto) y el 12.8% tiene estudio superio con un CPO de 36.1%. siendo el 39.9% de nuestra muestra presento 2 hijos.
Conclusiones: Existe relación entre el CPO e Ipress (p=0,029). Existe relación entre el CPO y la edad (p=0,042). Existe relación entre el CPO y el grado de instrucción (p=0,001). Existe relación entre la IPRESS y la edad (p=0,030). Existe relación entre la IPRESS y el número de hijos (P=0,003). Existe relación entre la IPRESS y el grado de instrucción (p=0,002). Existe relación entre edad y número de hijos (p=0,000). Existe relación entre número de hijos y dientes perdidos (p=0,000). Existe diferencia entre CPO de las dos IPRESS (p=0,000).
