The fundamental purpose of the research study was to determine the correlation between the level of bullying and the degree of self-esteem in adolescents belonging to two educational institutions in Iquitos in 2023. The research design addressed descriptive, applicational, transversal, correlational and prospective aspects. . The sample was made up of 220 adolescent high school students from the aforementioned institutions, and survey techniques were used along with a Coopersmith-style inventory. The instrument used consisted of a questionnaire to evaluate the level of selfesteem, supported by a Likert scale intended to evaluate the degree of bullying. The validity of the instrument reached a coefficient of 0.84, indicating satisfactory validity and agreement, while the reliability test yielded a value of 0.83, indicating a high level of reliability. The results obtained revealed that the independent variable “bullying“ showed a predominance of a medium level of bullying of 95.0%, followed by 4.1% of cases of low bullying. Only two adolescents were classified as having a high level of bullying. Regarding the “self-esteem“ variable, a medium level was observed in 56.4%, a high self-esteem in 37.7%, and 5.9% of adolescents presented low self-esteem. The correlation between the bullying variables and self-esteem was evaluated using the non-parametric chi-square statistical test, revealing a value of p=0.023. This result allows us to accept the proposed alternative hypothesis, thus confirming the existence of a statistically significant relationship between bullying and self-esteem in adolescents belonging to the two educational institutions of Iquitos in the year 2023.
