The professional competence work was carried out in the country restaurant “el Mijano”, located on the Iquitos-Nauta highway km.13.7, a place that, due to its location provides food, recreation, leisure and family gathering services. Its objective was to propose its solid waste management plan for the restaurant. The research that was carried out is non-experimental since the work was carried out without manipulating any variable. Information was collected through a 10-question survey directed at the 12 restaurant workers. From the results obtained,it can be indicated that 75% of those surveyed do not know the General Solid. Waste Law, 83% of the workers have never received any talk on waste management, which is reflected in the segregation of waste. Themselves, mentioning all (100%) of the workers who do not carry out segregation in the area they work, which is why it is necessary to strengthen their knowledge. From the physical composition of the waste generated per day, the total weight of the different areas recorded is 19,725 kg. The area that generates the most waste is the kitchen (12,650 kg), followed by the warehouse (4,370 kg), the bathrooms (2,200 kg), the recreation areas (0.400 kg), and finally the park area (0.105 kg). Likewise, inorganic waste is what is mostly produced in the country restaurant, representing 65.65%, and organic waste represents 34.35% of the total generated. That is why the implementation of the waste management plan for this restaurant is proposed.
