The quality of service provided by nurses is of vital importance in health care. Nurses play a crucial role in the care and well-being of patients, and their ability to provide quality service directly influences patient experience and care outcomes. Objective: To determine the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and the quality of care perceived by mothers of children under 5 years of age in CRED/HRL. Material and methods: Non-experimental, descriptive, correlational, prospective, quantitative research with a sample of 169 mothers of children under 5 years of age attended at CRED/HRL; the technique was a survey and the instrument was a questionnaire on quality of care perceived by mothers of children under 5 years of age attended at CRED/HRL. The SPSS version 27.0 statistical package was used for data processing and analysis, and the chi-square (x2) statistical test was used for bivariate analysis. Results: 74.0% perceived quality of care as moderately adequate, 18.9% perceived quality of care as adequate and the remaining 7.1% perceived quality of care as inadequate. In conclusion, it was possible to demonstrate significant association with perceived quality of care, age p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), educational level p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), occupation p = 0.017 (p < 0.05) and marital status p = 0.018 (p < 0.05).
