The objective of the research study was to determine the sociodemographic factors and knowledge of biosafety in nursing students of a university in Iquitos 2021 “, with a non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional, correlational and prospective quantitative methodological approach, the technique used was the survey whose instrument was the questionnaire, with a population of 180 nursing students and a sample of 100%. female, 93% are single and 97% are from urban areas, 20% of nursing students are in the eighth cycle, 17% in the third cycle, 15% in the tenth cycle, being lower percentages the other cycles, 23.8%, are rotating in the medicine service, and 20% in the neonatology service and to a lesser extent in the other services, 63.3% currently work , 73.4% have work experience, 90.5% were not trained in Biosafety issues, 9.5% were trained and 62.7% have previous studies in health. Regarding the level of knowledge, 53.4% of their level of knowledge about Biosafety standards is Good and only 5.5% is bad. Conclusion: There is a statistically significant positive relationship between sociodemographic factors and knowledge about Biosafety standards in nursing students. from a public university in Iquitos, that is, p <0.05.
