The objective of this research work was to determine the levels of social skills in secondary school students of a public Educational Institution - Iquitos. Year 2022. The methodology had simple descriptive research type and design. Made up of a population of 47 5th year high school students from the two sections, the sample being the total population, according to non-probabilistic and convenience sampling, complying with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique used was psychometric and the instrument was the Social Skills Assessment List of the Specialized Institute of Mental Health “Honorio Delgado - Hideyo Noguchi“. It was observed in the results that 36.2% obtained a high average in the general result of social skills, 29.8% high level, 21.3% average level, 4.3% low, 4.3% average low and only 4.3% obtained a very high level in social skills. From the results obtained, it is concluded that the majority of students communicate their perspectives, ideas, discomfort without offending others, as well as maintaining adequate communication with their classmates, respecting and accepting themselves as they are in physical appearance, qualities and values. allowing them to make good decisions in problematic situations or personal dilemmas.
