This study aimed to determine the prevalence of total edentulism, shape and height of the residual bony ridge in elderly patients Older Adults Centre EsSalud Iquitos, 2015. It was a nonexperimental, descriptive comparative study. The population consisted of ali seniors attcnding the Adult Center May EsSalud, the sarnple was 176 patients. Which dental examinations were performed to diagnose your edentulous partial, ful) or complete tooth and data was collected on the tab of the elderly edentulous. Data ere analyzed with descriptive statistics and Spearman corrclation. It was detennined that 51.14% of patients were edcntulous, partially edentulous the 46.02% and 2.84%jagged. The shape of the bony ridge in the upper jawv left unifomm was 53.4%, 31.3% and 15.3% irregular because no record was jagged. In the previous sector has uniform bead 63.1%, 16.5% irregular, 20.5% do not register. On the right side unifomm 51.7%, 39.2% and 9.1% irregular not recorded. The shape of the bony ridge in thc lower jaw left unifomm was 51.7%, 39.2% and 9.1% irregular not recorded because it is jagged. In the previous sector was 30.7% unifom, 23.9% and 45.5% irregular not recorded. On the right sidc unifomm 53.4%, 35.2% and 11.4% irregular not recordcd. The highest percentage of the hcight of the bony ridgc according to the degree of resorption in the maxilla was 49.4% on the left side, 48.9% on the right and in the anterior 20.5%. In the lower jawwas 44.9% on the left side, 43.8% o the right and in the anterior region with 20.5%. Finally showing that most older adults had attcnded a high percenage of resorbed maxillary and irregularly.
