The main purpose of this study was to determine the level of influence between family disintegration and the socioemotional development of 5-year-old children of the I.E. N°00891, Nueva Cajamarca - 2021. A basic research, descriptive in nature, with a non-experimental correlational and cross-sectional design was carried out. The sample consisted of 57 teachers, and a survey was used as a method of data collection, using two specific questionnaires. The results revealed that most of the families dealt with family disintegration in a positive way in all the dimensions evaluated. An attitude characterized by a lack of emotional expression, but with a reconciliatory approach, as well as an adaptation to the new family dynamics, where both parents continue to provide support to their children, were mainly highlighted. In addition, separation was perceived as the most appropriate solution to solve family problems. In terms of socioemotional development, the children's level was distributed as follows: 56.1% had a high level, 36.8% a medium level and 7.1% had a low level. In terms of behavioral development, most of the children had no difficulties in expressing themselves, either through nonverbal, paralinguistic or verbal skills. Regarding the personal dimension, the majority demonstrated skills to control their emotions and physiological manifestations. Regarding the situational dimension, the majority always exhibited both primary and advanced skills. Finally, it was concluded that there is a direct influence between family disintegration and socioemotional development in 5-year-old students at I.E. N°00891, Nueva Cajamarca, in the year 2021, with a Pearson's Chi-square value of 10.4580 and a significance of 0.0333, which is less than 0.05, with a confidence level of 95%.
