Stress coping strategies are manifested when people consider a stressful situation, in this way they seek to minimize anxiety and thus regain control of the situation and the lost balance. The objective of the research was to determine the incidence of coping with stress in women victims of domestic violence registered in the Centro Emergencia Mujer (CEM) District of San Juan Bautista, 2019. The design was non-experimental, cross-sectional, the population is 160 women victims of partner violence and the sample was 112; Then the instrument was applied was COPE by Carver and his collaborators (1989), adapted by Casuso in 1996 in Peru, and a pilot test was also carried out. It was obtained as a result that the most used coping strategies are found in other coping strategies (83% look for relaxing diversions very often), followed by coping strategies focused on the problem (36.6% use stress reduction very frequently) and the one focused on emotion (35.7% invest very frequently in close friends and 49.7% use focusing on the positive).
