The purpose of the research is to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and burnout índrome in the volunteer military service of the Peruvian Air Force – Group 42 city of Iquitos in 2021. The research corresponds to the quantitative type and is índrome the hypothetical-deductive research method. The population consisted of 117 people in the voluntary military service of the Peruvian Air Force – Group 42, a simple random sampling was used, the índro being 51 voluntary military service personnel. The technique was the survey and the psychometric, the data collection instrument used was the Baron ICE: NA Emotional Intelligence Inventory by Reuven Bar-0n and the Maslach and Jackson questionnaire. For data processing, the SPSS v23 statistic was used, obtaining the following results: With respect to the emotional intelligence variable, 2.0% obtained a low level, 80.4% a índro level and 17.6% obtained a level high emotional intelligence. Variable burnout índrome, 19.6% showed a low level of burnout índrome, 60.8% (31) a índro level and 19.6% a high level of burnout índrome. It is concluded: There is a statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and burnout índrome in the voluntary military service of the Peruvian Air Force – Group 42, Iquitos city (Rho = - 0.435; p = 0.000<0.005; negative correlation half)).
