The research objective was to evaluate the level of cognitive decline in older adults assistant to the IPRES III health center - Fernando Lores district, Loreto 2019; The type of research developed is of population studies, descriptive, nonexperimental quantitative cross-section, for this research was applied the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) test was taken into account age, sex, degree of instruction and felt morbidity. It is concluded that the average age of older adults is 78 years, being the largest group of older adults between 67 and 73 years 45.89%. As for sex, 65.89% of the sample corresponds to the female sex. 80% of the sample has primary studies, with respect to morbidity 81.18% (69) suffer from some disease. decline in adults older than both sexes 74.12% is at the level of impairment, it is also observed that 7.06% have dementia, relative to sex is the female group with the highest percentage of cases of cognitive impairment with 75% and the male sex with the highest percentage of cases with dementia with 10.34%. The age group with the highest cognitive impairment at the level of impairment belongs to the group of 74 to 80 years 92.30%, we can also show that 100% of older adults with dementia belong to the group of 90 to 96 years.
