The present investigation had as general objective to determine if the right to the protection of personal data has been violated in social networks during the Covid 19 pandemic, in the city of Iquitos - 2021; focusing on the study in the social networks of Facebook and WhatsApp, taking into consideration the different news violating personal rights existing in social networks, for which a Basic type investigation has been developed, with a quantitative approach at an explanatory level, the design was non-experimental and cross-sectional, with a population consisting of 600 students from the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Científica del Perú and a convenience sample of the researcher of 186 students of 4th, 8th and 10th cycle of studies, to whom a survey questionnaire of 20 questions was applied, having concluded that the right to the protection of personal data has not been significantly violated in social networks during the Covid 19 pandemic, based on the information provided by university students in the city of Iquitos - 2021, thus confirming the null hypothesis, which posed “The right to personal data protection ales, it has not been violated in social networks during the Covid 19 pandemic, in the city of Iquitos - 2021“, according to the analytical and statistical result that yielded a result in the chi square test of 0.225. < 0.05, the relation H1 is rejected and the Null Hypothesis H0 is accepted.
