In this research project, the “TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF THE BICAPA SURFACE TREATMENT (TSB) AND SLURRY SEAL, OF THE CACATACHI - CHIRAPA ROAD, SAN MARTÍN DEPARTMENT“ is carried out as an alternative of applying a surface treatment to the road. For this, designs of both types of surface treatment were made with Slurry Seal and Bilayer, for the same traffic conditions, foundation terrain, from each of the designs obtained and the amounts of materials to be used, the comparison was made cost. On the other hand, the technical part analyzes the efficiency and the behavior during its design period. Finally, performing the technical-economic evaluation, the surface treatment with Slurry Seal reflects being the most profitable alternative with the best performance during its design life. The general objective is to determine the technical - economic evaluation of the surface treatment with Slurry Seal and Bilayer, according to its design and dosage. As specific objectives we have: to evaluate and technically determine the surface treatment with Slurry Seal and Bilayer, economically analyze the surface treatment with Slurry Seal and Bilayer. It is concluded that when making the economic comparison the surface treatment with Slurry Seal turns out to be more profitable, according to the same traffic and soil conditions used for the bilayer surface treatment. It is very important that good maintenance and considerations of drainage elements help to meet the design period of the surface treatment. When carrying out the technical analysis, it is very necessary to consider the conditions offered by the study area to choose the most suitable surface treatment. When conducting the economic analysis applying the unit price analysis methodology, it is concluded that the best alternative for surface treatment is Slurry Seal. All this technical and economic analysis finally allows us to know the most profitable, less polluting alternative that can be adjusted to the real conditions of the project area. The Cacatachi - Chirapa highway is of great importance in the region since it turns out to be a tourist attraction and agriculture is developed, among others, therefore, improving the walkability, stopping the deterioration, providing safety and comfort to the passerby. In this way, with each of the results obtained at the end of this research, there will be a more economical, less polluting and good quality way of working, which will serve as an example for the rest of the unpaved roads with low traffic volume that are carried out.
