The study purpose is determining the factors correlated with adherence to hypertension treatment, tested on elderly individuals. Patients were treated at Belen’s IPRESS 1-3 located on Belen, Villa Belen. This research is descriptive, non-experimental, with cross-sectional data, sampled in 15 elderly individuals. Through survey and questionnaire, we seek to have data on sociodemographic factors to measure treatment adherence. According to the applied test; 67% were women (the largest group) and 33% were male: Category age: 60-65 years old (48%), 66-70 years (33%), and adults over 70 years old (27%); Marital status: 80% were divorced, 13% were single and 7% were married; Level education: 53% got elementary education; Work occupation: most of them are traders (47%), with a monthly income of 1500 soles (Peruvian currency); Knowledge related to arterial hypertension: 60% high level, 40% average level; Treatment adherence: 53% are positive to treatment and 47% do not adhere to treatment. In conclusion, the inferential analysis of Pearson's correlation statistics shows a relationship between income factors and adherence to treatment, with pvalue 0,007 and Pearson’s chi-square coefficient 0,707. Also shows correlation between level of knowledge related to arterial hypertension and medicate adherence to treatment with a p-value 0,001 and Pearson`s chi-square coefficient is 0,980.
