The objective of this work is to evaluate the solution proposals contained in the PreInvestment Study at the Feasibility level of the project “Improvement, Expansion of the Storm Drainage System of the City of Iquitos.“ Through the diagnosis of the current storm drainage system, the supply basins, the rainfall intensities, identification of risk areas and existing infrastructure, identification of the factors that generate the inefficiency of the system, etc .; Then, based on the analysis and evaluation of each one of them, the Technical Feasibility for the implementation of the project called “Improvement and Expansion of the Storm Drainage System of the City of Iquitos“ was evaluated, in a short or medium term. The research is descriptive, qualitative and with a proposal. The sample is the same size as the population and the statistics used are descriptive and the normal distribution measures were applied. The history of statistical data on rainfall, maximum floods, and return periods were used. For the design of the hydraulic sections of each element in each drainage area, the concentration time, runoff coefficient, rainfall intensity, and slopes were taken into account. The present work is also relevant because, based on the proposed design, it proposes technical alternatives for improvement; one of them suggests, for flat areas where grit traps are being projected, these should be eliminated from the project and instead, consider their inclusion in the budgets of the Provincial Municipality of Maynas, as permanent cleaning and maintenance activities. As benefits of the project “Improvement, Expansion of the Storm Drainage System of the City of Iquitos“ it is indicated that coverage with quality and continuity of the drainage service avoiding watering in the streets and recurring damage to properties in the sectors identified as zones risky.
