The present study carried out aims to determine the influence of fiberglass in the improvement of the physical and mechanical characteristics of cement-sand concrete. The first chapter consists of the introduction, where the problem statement is presented. The second chapter has antecedents, theoretical bases, definition of basic terms, the hypothesis, variables, and objectives of the study. The third chapter presents the results and the discussion. The fourth chapter conclusions and recommendations. A sample of 36 specimens per design was taken, separating into groups of 12 per days of curing, these were at 7, 14.28 days respectively. A comparison of the designs with fiber (C / F) and without fiberglass (S / F) was made, with the compression resistance test (Fc`), yielding different values , during days 7 and 14; where it is observed that if it improves the influence of fiberglass in the resistance to compression (F`c); otherwise it is observed on day 28, they reach similar resistance. Finally, the fifth chapter, presents the bibliographic references used for the preparation of the study.
