Introduction: Obstetric psychoprophylaxis is a set of conceptual activities and gymnastics for the comprehensive preparation of pregnant women, which contributes to the maintenance of maternal and perinatal complications, being important to know the level of knowledge that mothers acquire during their prenatal care Objective: Determine the level of knowledge about the psychoprophylaxis of mothers of AAHH October 9 – Bethlehem, November 2020 Methodology: The study was quantitative, descriptive, cross-cutting, prospective, correlalative; interviewing 68 mothers of AAHH October 9 – Bethlehem; sampling was for convenience, applying a knowledge questionnaire of 18 multiple choice questions, on concepts, benefits and on psychoprophylaxis sessions considering adequate knowledge those with scores of 12 to 18 points. Results: 52.9% of mothers surveyed at AAHH 9 October Bethlehem have an adequate level of knowledge about obstetric psychoprophylaxis; with adequate knowledge of the concept of psychoprophylaxis (55.9%) and its benefits (67.6%); 57.4% do not have adequate knowledge about psychoprophylaxis sessions. Parity significantly influences the level of knowledge about psychoprophylaxis (p x 0.018); age and instruction were not significantly associated. Conclusion: The mothers of AAHH 9 October – Bethlehem; have mostly adequate knowledge about psychoprophylaxis, with less frequency about psychoprophylaxis sessions
