Ligamentous hypermobility is the increased mobility of the joints determined by increased elasticity of the tissues. Its prevalence has been established between 25% to 70% according to many cases studied. Our research objective was to determine the relationship of the characteristics of benign joint hypermobility syndrome in students aged 3 to 5 years of initial level of the I.E.C.J. 364 “Bello Horizonte” of the district of San Juan Bautista, Iquitos 2019.The type of research is population studies, descriptive, nonexperimental, cross-sectional, quantitative, the sample was 161 students. For the evaluation of the students, the Beighton Evaluation Form was required, the information collected was entered into a database created with the SPS 22.0 software, the following results were obtained: According to the sociodemographic characteristics according to sex, the highest the number of students represents the female sex with 59.63%. According to the characteristics of benign joint hypermobility syndrome, 63.98% of the entire sample presents positive Beighton. The hypothesis Ha is accepted, since the Benign Syndrome of Articular Hypermobility is related to the age and sex of the students, concluding that 75% of the students who present positive Beighton are female and 47.7% male. This difference being statistically significant (p <0.05). Regarding age, a decrease in benign joint hypermobility syndrome is observed as age advances, 70.91% of students who present positive Beighton belong to the 3-year group, 66.04% it corresponds to the 4-year-old group, finally with 54.72% correspond to the 5-year-old group; the differences between the age groups being statistically significant (p <0.05).
