This study was aimed at solving the following research problem: What is the seroprevalence of Treponema pallidum in donors from the Blood Bank of Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud during the months of January to December 2018? The research objective was: To determine the Seroprevalence of Treponema pallidum in donors from the Blood Bank of Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud during the months of January to December 2018. Material and methods: The present investigation is of a quantitative and retrospective type, with a non-experimental, descriptive design. We worked with a sample of 1,380 applicants eligible for the interview with blood donors. For the analysis of the information, the statistical package of SPSS V.24 was used Results: The seroprevalence of Treponema pallidum in blood donors who come to Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud from January to December 2018 was 2.46%; according to sex, the male (2,246%) and the female (0.217%); according to age, the most frequent range was from 26 to 35 years (1.16%); according to the Iquitos provenance (1.30%) and according to the group and blood factor, the “O“ Rh Positive (1.59%). Conclusions: The seroprevalence of Treponema pallidum is high; Research on the main associated risk factors should be encouraged, indicating the behavior and characteristics of the donor population, reinforcing prevention and control programs for this disease.
