OBJECTIVE: The objective of this research is to evaluate the severity level of Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) amongst the professors of the Stomatology department at the Universidad Andina del Cusco. This was measured using the anamnestic questionnaire proposed by Fonseca. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, observational, transversal and field research; using a non-probabilistic convenient procedure were selected a sample of 43 stomatology professors, they were of both genders between 30 to 70 years old of the Universidad Andina del Cusco The technique and analysis tool used in this research was a form with questions regarding working conditions and information such as age, gender, length of service and employment regime, information provided by the professors. The instrument used in this research was the anamnesic questionnaire proposed by Fonseca that consist of 10 questions. This information was enter into an Excel 2016 data form and it was analyzed using RStudio with a descriptive statistics. To analyzed a bivariate relation among age, gender, length of service and employment regime with TMD, it was used the T Student and Anova test. RESULTS: The results of those reporting TMD were grouped as mild, moderate, severe and the ones without TMD. It was observed that 54% of the professors had mild TMD, 26% were classified as having moderate TMD and 20% did not have TMD. According to the Anova and the T Student test, it has been found that there was no relationship between the severities of TMD relating to the gender, age, employment regime and length of service of these professors.
