Background: Rionda-Arjona, A & Mares-Cardenas (Mexico 2012) found that teachers presented high and middle levels of Burnout syndrome. Peralta & Beatriz (Lima 2017), found that the highest level was the depersonalization and emotional exhaustion. Tapayuri, R & Enrique, C (Iquitos 2017) found that the level of emotional exhaustion is high in 33% of teachers, depersonalization with 22% and personal fulfillment with 55% of teachers. Objective: To determine the levels of Burnout syndrome (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal fulfillment) in teachers of an educational institution in the city of Iquitos, Peru-2018. Material and methods: The Maslach Burnout Inventory instrument was used for teachers version (IBM), Spanish adaptation of Seisdedos (1997) of the Maslach Burnout Inventory by Maslach and Jackson; The method of investigation was descriptive, explanatory, the design non-experimental and the study was transversal. The sample was of 70 teachers of both sexes of the I.E.P.I.P.S “Mariscal Oscar Ramírez Benavides“ - M.O.R.B. Results: The dimension of Depersonalization presents a higher index with 36.02%, the Emotional Exhaustion dimension presents 11.82% and in the Personal Fulfillment level a 3.4% in the teachers of the Educational Institution. Conclusions: The Burnout Syndrome levels for the Emotional Exhaustion and Personal Fulfillment dimensions were low, the emotional Exhaustion level is low, the resulting rate was 78.6%; the level of depersonalization is high, the index was 42.9%; the level of personal fulfillment was 77.1% and of the three levels of Burnout Syndrome, the Depersonalization reached an average of 36.
