Development of an economic analysis and design of a hybrid photovoltaic-genset-battery system for an off-grid Peruvian mine named Lucma. Several programs were analysed to model the best mix of generators being HOMER the chosen to model this Peruvian minigrid. Furthermore, in order to choose the base solar data, it was developed a comparison between the different solar resources available in the region. The load needs of the mine were gathered, and different PV technologies were modelled in different scenarios finding the best scenarios for the high technology PV modules and facing the reality that the smallest LCOE is not the smallest payback period.
