Objective: To identify the benefits of childbirth support among pregnant women at the Class Health Center in Anta, Cusco, from June to August 2023. Method: This was a descriptive study with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of pregnant mothers receiving childbirth care at the Clas Health Center in Anta. A sample of 55 pregnant mothers was selected, and they were surveyed using closed-ended questions. Results: The demographic and obstetric profile of pregnant mothers revealed that the majority (76.4%) were aged between 19 and 34, had a secondary education (72.7%), cohabited with a partner (90.9%), and came from rural areas (65.5%). Regarding prenatal care, a significant 69.1% had more than 6 check-ups. In terms of childbirth history, 34.5% had three or more prior births. Concerning complications, 67.3% experienced urinary tract infections in the first trimester, 12.7% had bleeding in the second trimester, and only 3.6% faced the threat of preterm birth in the third trimester. Moreover, during the childbirth process, partner support was prominent (72.7%), with positive emotions and assistance at all stages. The majority of mothers (87.3%) had early contact with their babies, experiencing good neonatal health conditions and easy breastfeeding (96.4%). Conclusion: There are benefits to childbirth support as it reduces stress and anxiety, provides emotional and physical support, encourages early breastfeeding, promotes feelings of protection and security, and instills a high level of confidence in the companion.
