Nowadays, the tourism sector represents the 3.8% of the participation of the Gross National Product (Producto Bruto Interno – PBI by its initials in Spanish) of our country, generating an economic movement of US $ 8,135.8 million in Peru, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). The rise in the increase of the tourism sector in our country is due to the diversity of our gastronomy, cultural and historical attractions, which allows the generation of direct and indirect jobs, positively impacting the national economy. According to the National Migration Superintendency, in 2017 (until October 31, 2017), there was a movement of 13'906,039 travelers, between tourists and locals, entering and leaving the country, of which the largest number of people made use of the Jorge Chávez International Airport, with a total of 45.88%, while the other land border control posts represented 52.41%, highlighting the Peruvian-Chilean border in the Tacna region, with a value of 40.70%. The efficient control of such quantity of travelers represents a logistical challenge, and having the systems controls that allow to speed up the movement of people entering or leaving the country; and considering that the Jorge Chávez International Airport was concessioned in 2001 to the Lima Airport Partners (LAP), reaching great distinctions as the best air terminal in South America. That the reason why we decided to turn our attention to the other migratory controls in our country, noting the large percentage of users who make use of their facilities, and who are not under concession, in order to investigate possible failures and present viable technical solutions. The implementation of solutions through technical analysis, using Operations Management and logistics technics to optimize systems controls, led us to develop a model that allows to optimize customs control in the facilities of a land border control, using software models and technological tools, such as RFID and QR systems, that will dynamize and facilitate the transit of travelers at the land borders of our country.
