The secondary metabolites that were detected in the ethanolic extract of Carica papaya L seeds. (papaya) were phenolic compounds, α lactones, β-unsaturated, tannins, reducing sugars, saponins, anthraquinones, terpenes and steroids, alkaloids, anthocyanins, and flavonoids. On the other hand, by means of the ANOVA test (p<0.05) and Tukey, a statistically significant difference was demonstrated as a result. The concentration that presented antibacterial activity of ethanolic extract of seeds of Carica papaya L. (Papaya) against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 was 50% and 75%, on the other hand, none of the concentrations presented activity against Escherichia coli ATCC 25922. Also, none of the concentrations exceeded the inhibitory effect of ciprofloxacin.
