The research detailed below aims to analyze the impact of public investment of local governments on the human development Índex of the districts of Modern Lima during the period 2009 - 2019, To achieve this goal, it was supported by an investigation basic, explanatory level, purely quantitative and conducted under a longitudinal non-experimental design. The research took as a population and shows the statistical records of the variables under study for the period 2009-2019, collected through a data record card. For data analysis, múltiple linear regression equatíons were applied in data panel and the iíndings were validated by examining the signs of the estimated coefficients, their magnitude, significance of the individual coefficients, global significance and R2. The results obtained show that the HDI in the districts of Modern Lima during the period 2009 - 2019 was not affected by the public investment of local governments in public transport (t- Statistic = -0.071669, prob. = 0.9430), ñor was by public investment in housing and development (t-Statistic = -1.119951, prob, = 0,2649). In contrast, it was shown that the public investment of local governments in education, culture and sports (t-Statistic = 1.892371, prob. = 0.067) and in health and sanitation (t-Statistic = 1.700547, prob. = 0.0915) do have a direct impact on this Índex, Thus, it is concluded that the public investment of local governments does not significantly impact the HDI in the districts of Modern Lima during the period 2009 - 2019 (t-Statistic = 0.583832, prob. = 0.5603).
