Climate change is a problem that manifests itself in the form of worldwide climatic alterations. It is primarily caused by anthropogenic emissions of CO2 and the reduction of the ozone layer, leading to increased extreme weather events and economic losses. Peru is part of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and has been reporting the results of its greenhouse gas emissions inventories. The Ministry of Environment seeks to strengthen and recognize the performance of public and private organizations that voluntarily commit to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. Stork Peru SAC is a transnational company that has aligned itself with the UN's sustainability goals and works in harmony with Peru's climate change policies. In this context, this Professional Sufficiency Report carries out a quantification of the company's carbon footprint in its operation and maintenance of industrial plants. This study will be carried out through applied research, using the "Carbon Footprint Peru" tool and its carbon footprint calculator. 2 sources were identified for scope 1, 1 source for scope 2, and 5 sources for scope 3, as well as 3 locations for operational boundaries. The identified sources include company-owned transportation, refrigerant use, electricity consumption, home-to-work transportation, terrestrial transportation, paper consumption, water consumption, and waste generation. The results obtained showed that the GHG emissions generated by the company represent 0.00119% of the national total reported to MINAM during the year 2021; likewise, it represents 8.72% of all emissions for the category of Administrative and Support Services Activities, category to which STORK PERU S.A.C. belongs. The information obtained in this study can be used as a guide and support for other companies in the same sector that seek to manage their greenhouse gas emissions under a sustainability policy.
