The purpose of this report is to identify, measure, analyze and propose some alternatives and actions that can reduce and control the consumption of electricity at the North Multipurpose Terminal in Callao, in line with energy efficiency standards and looking for savings in the electricity billing. APM Terminals Callao is the concessionaire of the North Multipurpose Terminal in Callao and provides port services for its clients. Monthly, it has been noted that there are not mach between electricity consumption and the volumen that the terminal moves. According to said, it has been implemented a measurement system, that can record the power and energy as a segregated way for its types of services. An analysis of the historical data has been carried out and actions have been developed, in order to have a direct impact on the reduction of the electricity billing: Such as the revision of the power purchase agreement, replace the old High Presure Sodium technology by LED for external lighting poles and use a battery energy storage system to mitigate the power during peak hours. Small solar panel system has been installed for non-critical loads that require low energy consumption. Finally, consumption and expenses for reactive energy were evaluated.
