To determine whether the diagnosis of uterine myomatosis is associated with the consumption of ultra-processed products and harmful habits in women from Piura 2024. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This case-control thesis utilized secondary data collection through medical records of women treated at Hospital III-1 José Cayetano Heredia Piura with a history of ultra-processed product consumption and evidence of harmful habits. Statistically, descriptive tables were used, and a reference value of <= 0.05 was taken for ""p"" in terms of significance. RESULTS: The average age of positive myomatosis cases was 42.66 years, similar to the controls at 42.65 years. There were no cases in women aged 18 to 25, and significant differences in the proportion of positive and negative cases were observed in women aged 26 to 60. Patients with myomatosis consumed ultra-processed products less frequently than controls, and this consumption was associated with an increased risk of developing the disease. Additionally, alcohol consumption and lack of physical activity also showed a correlation with myomatosis. Other factors, such as marital status, education level, and family history, influenced the results, with women over 32 years old having a higher likelihood of developing myomatosis. CONCLUSION: The presence of uterine myomatosis is associated with the consumption of ultra-processed products and harmful habits in women from Piura 2024.
