The objective of this research work was to analyze the impact of the 5S method on the productivity of the aforementioned workshop. To carry out this analysis, Likert-scale surveys were used to evaluate the variables related to the 5S and the improvement in production in said workshop. After subjecting these instruments to reliability and validity analysis, it was confirmed that they are reliable and valid. A quantitative, descriptive and non-experimental research strategy was used. The population included 97 students from three courses of the Peru-Japan Higher Institute, located in the province of Chachapoyas, in the Amazon region. The sample consisted of 43 students. A survey was used as a means of collecting information, and the questionnaires used were thoroughly validated with the help of professional experts, while their reliability was evaluated using the Cronbach Alpha statistic. The result indicates a strong association between 5S and production improvement in the production mechanics workshop of the Peru-Japan Higher Institute of the Chachapoyas Province in the Amazonas Region-2021, according to the Spearman correlation test.
