The objective of this research work was fundamental to this study is to find out the relationship between eating habits and academic performance. Conducted at the Faculty of Agronomy and Food of the Enrique Guzmán y Valle School, the cross-sectional study used a quantitative methodology and was of a fundamental correlational type with a non-exploratory test. The population was 150 students of the Specialty in Human Nutrition, while the probability test was 50 students. To obtain information for the research of variable 1 - eating patterns - a survey was used as an instrument, and for variable 2 - compliance with skills - an evaluation strategy was used, recently approved with the highest levels of reliability. In conclusion, the findings demonstrate a significant relationship (p-value = 0.0000, Spearman's Rho = 0.767 and significance level of 0.05) between eating habits and academic performance of students enrolled in the seventh cycle of the research study plan of the Technological Faculty of the Enrique Guzmán y Valle National University of Education during the 2017-18 academic year.
