The objective of this research work was to explain the effects of composting organic waste on the quality of the compost, the methodology used was the quantitative approach, the type of research was applied and the descriptive-explanatory level, the study method was hypothetical deductive, the design was non-experimental and the level was explanatory. The results were the following: the frequency of organic waste on the market is evidenced by equal percentages of 40%, we have weights of 20 to 30 kg and 41 to 50 kg; compared to 20% that corresponds to 31 to 40kg of organic waste on the market. In the frequency of organic manure residues, it is evident that we have equal percentages of 20% in the categories of 31 to 40 kg and 41 to 50 kg compared to a significant 60% that corresponds to 20 to 30 kg of manure. When measuring the effect of composting, we proceeded together with organic waste and manure, in the frequency of temperature as a physical requirement it is shown that 53.3% of organic waste have temperatures less than 35°C, 26.67% has temperatures greater than 70°C, only 20% have between 35 to 70°C. The frequency of humidity as a physical requirement shows that 40.0% of organic waste has a humidity greater than 60%, on the other hand, 26.67% has humidity between 45 to 60% and 33.3%. It has humidity less than 45%. In the frequency of pH as a chemical requirement, it is observed that in equal percentages the pH index in organic waste has less than 4.5 and more than 8.5 units and 20% has a level between 4.5 to 8. 5. The frequency of N, P, K as a chemical requirement shows the levels of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in 53.3% between 0.3 to 1.5%, followed by 26.67% with levels of 0. 3 to 1.0% and finally with 20% at a level of 0.1 to 1.0%. It is concluded that the composting of organic waste significantly influences the quality of the compost in the José Carlos Mariátegui Model Market in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho 2021.
