The objective of this research work is to establish the relationship that exists between the family and the learning in the area of Mathematics of the students of the 6th grade of primary education of the José Granda Emblematic Educational Institution, UGEL 02, Lima, 2023. Citing Meza and Páez (2016), it mentions that the family is fundamental for the development of the students and, in addition, the family must work in a coordinated manner with the school. According to Ribes (2002), learning is linked to psychological behavior, where learning is acquired. The type of research is basic because it seeks to describe what happens in the family and in the learning of mathematics, the population and sample of the research is made up of 60 sixth grade primary school students. The study technique is the survey and the instrument is the questionnaire that was used for data collection based on the research variables, showing that there is a relationship between the variables of the family and learning in the area of mathematics, according to Spearman's Rho = 0.689. The degree of relationship between the variables presents a high level of positive correlation. The significance, expressed as p = 0.007, indicates that the p value is less than 0.05. This suggests that the relationship is significant, leading to the conclusion that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternate hypothesis is accepted. Therefore, we can conclude that the family is important for the achievement of student learning.
