The objective of this research work was to determine the significant differences in physical activity in nutritional status in inhabitants aged 15 to 69 years old residing in Metropolitan Lima, during the year 2023. This thesis has been developed using a quantitative approach. The research is of a basic type, since it focuses on understanding reality as it is presented in a specific space-time context. The research design was non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive-comparative. The population consisted of 7,266,033 inhabitants aged 15 to 69 years old, the sample was 4,266 inhabitants and the sampling was by convenience; the instruments are used worldwide so it was not necessary to carry out their validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using Excel and the IBM SPSS statistical software. The results indicated that 15.4% of respondents aged 15 to 69 years old in Metropolitan Lima state that their physical activity is of a medium level. Furthermore, 55.1% of the population reported that their nutritional status was overweight and 24.5% reported obesity; the Kruskal Wallis test was used for inferential analysis. In conclusion, there are significant differences in physical activity between nutritional status levels. This difference is greater between those inhabitants who perceive themselves as obese and those who perceive themselves as overweight.
