This thesis reports a research on the influence of the beliefs of teacher efficacy in the work performance of the teaching staff of educational institutions "César Carbonell Rodríguez", "United Nations" and "Dolores Cavero de Grau" of the San Juan de Miraflores district. Stratified, random sample was comprised of 145 teachers. The investigation took a quantitative approach, correlation scope, with a transverse, non-experimental design. The instruments consisting of versions A and B of the questionnaire of teacher self-efficacy were used for the collection of information. We assessed the validity of content and reliability with Cronbach's coefficient and coefficient of Aiken V respectively. The collected data were analyzed with the statistical test parametric correlation of Pearson r for measuring relationships postulated in the general correlation hypothesis between the teaching efficacy and job performance, and assumptions specific among the dimensions of teaching efficacy variable and the variable work performance, and to evaluate the statistical significance of the sampling results. The results showed the existence of a positive and moderate influence self-efficacy teacher on job performance, and the dimensions of teaching self-efficacy (the teaching planning, involvement of students, interaction and climate positive, assessment of learning ) in the work performance of respondent teacher. The findings proved to be statistically significant at a level of probability of p < 0,05.
