The purpose of this research work was to define the correlation that exists between the administration of human talent and work performance of the workers of the I.E. José Enrique Celis Bardales, from the city of Tarapoto, 2019. The methodology used was the hypothetical deductive, with a type of correlation level elementary inquiry, of quantitative treatment and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 86 workers, to whom the information collection instruments were supplied, taking into account the Likert scale. With the results obtained, it was corroborated that there is a significant correlation between the administration of human talent and the work performance of the workers of the I.E. José Enrique Celis Bardales, from the city of Tarapoto, 2019; with a value of 0.845 and an approximate dependence of 84.5% between both variables. Likewise, it can be deduced that the dimensions of recruitment, progress and conservation of human capital have a significant correlation with labor performance. The suggestion to continue with an efficient administration of human talent for a favorable work performance, since the present research shows favorable conclusions.
